FT: Wales 17 - 29 Argentina. Match thread

Just a 10 hour thread, as there's no football till tomorrow evening.
There seems to be a whiff in the air of this being ' a good chance to progress into the semis '.
Personally I'm thinking it'll be a great achievement if we make it through.

Not getting to the semis from this side would be a disappointment but Argentina are no mugs.

Slim to no chance of either making the final though.

There's an air of quiet confidence given the bearable opposition.

I really think it's 50/50. Could be a very fine margin in it.

Same with Ireland v NZ after, which could be an epic

Wales have significantly hardened in the betting from 4/6 earlier in the week to 4/9 today
The announcement that Biggar and Liam Williams are fit to play being a factor
The bookies don’t often get it wrong and I’m sure Wales will progress to the Semi’s 🏉👍

Did Wales get their match shirts from Primark? Lots of numbers coming off the backs of them. Never seen that before.

To be fair, any other sport/pastime that’s mentioned on here has posters ridiculing it, motor sports, darts, snooker etc all get slated, it’s what makes the message board, the contrasting opinions. It would be very unfair to leave rugby out of the piss taking. Rugby ‘erberts give it out with their ‘Wendyball ‘ jibes. We all know, deep down inside, that rugby was a thing in school for the fat feckers who couldn’t play football on the whole it deserves to be ridiculed

Adams lucky there to not be sent off imo

Have this team ever practiced line outs? Totally under control most of the half then didn’t get points because of two overthrows and mistakes start to creep in.

Adams a very lucky boy. No idea what the ref saw there to say that was a wrap.

IMO, slow guaranteed front ball line out is better that the Hollywood back of the line out ball and the risks.

It's not even a tackle so wrap is irrelevant anyway. Ref took the easy way out because it would have looked odd binning Adams and doing nothing about the argie running from 30m for a scrap.

If Adams had been shown a yellow then the Argentine Lock would also have had one.
A penalty was probably the right decision.

Bollox Splotty. I know lots of guys just in Cardiff alone who were tremendous rugby players, and just as good at football. You are in the old fart category along with Titty. 😂

We’re going to lose this unless we improve our line out, kicking game and discipline.

No 1. How the Ref can call the Adams incident “A wrap”, will go down as one of life’s great mysteries.
No. 2. World class sport, requires world class concentration from start to finish.
Wtf Adams was thinking about doing that when there was absolutely no danger, is worrying.

    .and unforced errors

    Needed that

    Re: Wales v Argentina thread.

Simple. If we can keep the ball down there in the other 22 the space will be there, but they've got to cut out the errors at set pieces and stop the indiscipline otherwise they will just let Argentina straight back in.

Utterly awful decision making all over the field. Just need something to build on but they are trying to make the spectacular play every time they touch the ball.

And there it is... once again, utterly stupid. Haven't deserved to win this since the 30th minute onwards.
