    Read that as Bob Marley

I bet he would make a good ref

    Re: Bobby Madley........

Again! Are there only 4 refs in the EFL?

Can’t City say they don’t want that clown taking charge of their games based on decisions given against us in the last two matches of ours he was in charge of?

I doubt that's possible but we ought to lodge a complaint at least.

We could but we would look like little girls and it would probably give every other official the hump.

Let's not go down the arsenal and Liverpool route.

Bad decisions happen, he won't be the only ref our fans complain about this season.

I refuse to believe refs are biased against a particular team so law of averages says that clown has to give a poor decision in our favour this time !

    Re: Bobby Madley........

He’s just disallowed our first goal, for having 11 players on the pitch

Human nature being what it is there must be biased refs about - perhaps not to give blatantly wrong decisions but not to see a free kick etc as they are willing the other side to win.
City don’t conform to the law of averages either.

Game following 5-3 win over Middlesborough [Farrell's match] when we secured Div. 2 safety.

Farrell was unbelievable that night, he was a great winger for City. Pity his life went downhill after he left.

I as there that night and it still remains the best individual performance I have ever seen by a City player. He was incredible. He left us to join Bury where he became a cult hero but I’m curious to know about his life going down hill later. I know he joined us with a criminal conviction hence the nickname “Fingers” Farrell but I know nothing of him after Bury.

100% sarcastic, though our record is, in some ways, better than we think up there.

We've won 15 times at Deepdale, a joint club record with wins at Nottingham Forest, though we've played 50 games in Preston and only 31 at Forest.

12 of our wins have been by a single goal, 2 were by a 2 goal margin (both 3-1) and there was a 6-2 win up there in 1962.

We've lost 25 times up there, by no means a bad record at any ground for the number of visits, but the manner of them is quite extraordinary.

    Lost by 1 goal - 4
    Lost by 2 goals - 5
    Lost by 3 goals - 7
    Lost by 4 goals - 3
    Lost by 5 goals - 1
    Lost by 6 goals - 3
    Lost by 7 goals - 1
    Lost by 9 goals - 1

21 defeats have been by 2 goals or more. 16 have been by 3 goals or more. We've lost as many by 5 goals or more than we've lost by 2 goals or fewer.

We've conceded 119 goals at Deepdale in 50 games - that's almost 2.5 a game. Whenever we've lost up there, we've conceded 3.76 goals a game on average. Our second worst venue for conceding is QPR, where we've conceded 90 goals in 41 trips. In defeats at Deepdale alone, we've conceded 94 goals in 25 games.

However, we've scored 53 goals at Preston, our 2nd best record away from home, just one goal fewer than we've scored at Bristol City.

After leaving the City he went to Bury where he became a local legend. Left there in March 1969
Went to South Africa. Played for Durban. Left September 1969 to return to Bury for a short time before heading back to Durban City.
Left Durban City in January 1972 to join Durban United until December 1974
Played until December 1976 for Arcadia Shepherd before returning to the UK in July 1978 to finish his career at Worcester City in June 1979.
He’s still alive or at least he was but where he lives now is not clear. I’m interested in this now so I’ll try and dig deeper
