The Wicker Man 50th Anniversary......And Ingrid Pitt

What a great film , still very dark even bybtodays standards

The only dated bit is Christopher Lee poncing around in a dress , dirty old get

Never mind Ingrid Pitt doing her pans people impression , Ingrid Pitt was at her peak in this movie

It was Britt Elland not Ingrid Pitt. Although only the topless shots were actually her. For the rear view full body shots they used a double.

Great film, and so much better than the remake with Nicholas Cage. Why does Hollywood bother with remakes of classic films, which always fall far short of the original?

    Deeply disturbing film.

Britt Ekland got all the attention as the barmaid but Ingrid Pitt was far superior as the schoolteacher

Strangely, that scene reminded me of the League of Gentlemen. ‘Everyone must go through McGregor’ sounds like Harvey, Benjamin’s toad fancying uncle

Check out Countess Dracula. I've only seen it once and that was 45 years ago. But Ingrid Pitt is etched into my memory because of it.

Ingrid Pitt in The Vampire Lovers together with Madeleine Smith is etched in my memory. Probably quite innocent now but it was 53 years ago

It was Britt doing the "pan's people impression", which is what Sludge referred to in his post.

Had a thing for Madeline Smith too. What a face. What a pair.
