    It wasn’t Ronnie Barker at his finest was it. His finest hours were the Two Ronnies & Porridge in my opinion. Going Straight certainly didn’t hit the heights and Clarence was poor. Back to Thelma, I don’t remember her in Open All Hours due to stopping watching it by then I s’pose.

    I’d agree with your verdict on all of those series - Going Straight was okay I suppose, but a big step down from Porridge.
