We always seemed to be number ten when the draw was done on the radio on a Monday lunchtime.

It's bound to be them isn't it? Just as it was bound to be Leeds first game this season.

It seems that we've only played Wrexham in the FA Cup once, which was home and we won 3-2.

That was in the 1976/77 season.

Also, our first fixture against them was in 1961. I would have thought it would have been way before that.

I was in the front of the Bob bank near the Canton end.
I remember it clear as day and the pandemonium when Buchy sidefooted the winner.
Turned round and Billy Ashcroft was on his knees in despair.

    Wrexham would be nice.

We played Spurs in 1977 too. Won 1-0. We had quite a run ending with 1-2 loss to Everton. Their winner was a comedy of errors. I still think about it and still feel the pain.

Bob Latchford and Duncan McKenzie IIRC.
    Wasn't it on MOTD too?

Bedlam that day. I was in the Canton, too, behind the goal. Wooden benches. Good for piles!

Because as a side in top 2 divisions alphabetically we are number 10.

To top it all a s**te draw Sheffield Wed away.

It would be refreshing for us to take it seriously, but alas, too many on here clamour for a ‘weakened’ team to be played. It’s actually a pathetic mindset.

The Pete Sayer goal was shown a lot afterwards

All 3 of our cup games, Spurs, Wrexham and Everton were on match of the day, it was the 50th anniversary of us winning the cup too

I remember the Spurs game was as Sayer's goal was on the MOTD intro for what seemed like decades.
