From my viewing experience, I would say that an awful lot of fouls and penalties are bought by cheating, and at all professional levels. The moment a player gets into the box, the cheating starts. Not only diving, and fake-tripping, but my biggest bugbear - flicking the ball towards the defender's hands. You see this all the time - dribble into the box, face-up to the defender, and here comes that weird flick upwards. There's no reason for them to play the ball that way UNLESS they were trying to hit the hand of the defender. It's not the hand touching the ball, it's the ball being played onto their hand deliberately. Really gets my goat.
