Thread: Tanner And Bowler

    Re: Tanner And Bowler

100% - if Bowler had a better footballing brain and maybe a touch more consistency he'd be in the Forest matchday squad if not the starting lineup, because technically he's a brilliant player when he wants to be.

With Tanner you can chalk it up to experience when he's not in the right place or doesn't play the right option, with Bowler now having 100 Championship level games under his belt this is probably about his level.

    Re: Tanner And Bowler

I'm going to give Bowler some credit. He's never 1 on 1 it's always at least 2 defenders against him when he's on the ball. He's at his best the first 25 minutes, then we-him are worked out.

Can we send Bowler back? He is that poor at the moment. Offers no help to Perry at all, just hides infield, tightly marked Wintle whenever they had the ball.

Tanner needs to get into L1 or 2 to get games

Yeah, Bowler looks a shadow of the player he was to start the season right now.

We’ve got to aim higher than these two if we’re going to progress

Tanner has quality but he's inconsistent

    He can beat players easily

But when the rest of the side are not performing he's expected to win games

Colwill and him are probably league 1 standard at present

    Re: Tanner And Bowler

Tanner is a bit out of his depth at the moment unfortunately. He really needs a season on loan at someone like a league one club in my opinion. Lacking in quality both offensively and defensively at the moment

Not quite a lost cause as he could rip up league one but he’s a long way off the required quality atm in my opinion.

Bowler is just a nothing player and hopefully when the loan is up we shake hands and move on
