It’s a nice dream that without the embargo we might have stumped up a cheeky bid for him at the end of his loan.

He will be in the Prem next year for somebody I reckon.

Him and Giles are the type of players you spend money on, quality players and huge resale value.

People were slagging him off left and right when he was with us.

Even by match thread standards this was special.

If that was Messi or Mbappe it would have been watched and lauded by millions around the world. Truly remarkable.

    C'mon, get some perspective.

He had a very slow start with us, then his game picked up remarkably.
He was receiving a lot of plaudits from the City fans, and rightly so.

The Luton manager, who gets plenty of plaudits, clearly rates Alfie Doughty, who could have been bought for a fraction of Giles’ price, the better player of the two.

Yeah other than injuries he was excellent for us.

Perspective? Did you at the matchday link above? It was posted last February. 8 months after he joined us.

I can't be arsed to search, but I'm sure I could just have easily found posts on this forum praising him.

If you could be arsed, it still wouldn’t change the fact that he was getting a slagging off last February.

Exactly..there are some pretty embarrassing people on this forum. They prefer the lawnmower type of player rather than any skill. Philogene was always a clear talent and only got stronger the more he played for us.

We didnt even use him correctly.

It wouldn't have gone anywhere near the goal without the deflection! That's why!

Giles isn't a PL player, Luton have taken a loss on him. Same with Drameh. I'd never spend money on full backs in this league, it is way too risky.

EFL have given it to Philogene.
