Bowler looks like he has the capabilities to open their defence up

Yes, he's getting better each week. As mentioned, Bowler may make a good run now and then but he loses the ball practically every time it comes to him - same every game. Etete doing the job asked of him. Quite a decent 1st half performance IMHO.

We should beat this Bristol side.....don't really want Wintle on for Siopis poor as he has been.....wonder if O'Dowda is fit enough to replace Bowler...switch to left wing. Which of Ashford, Diedhiou or Meite will come on? Probably last two....

Siopis is a bit of a master of giving away the cheap free kick, always a worry it’ll cost us. Turnbull is showing a bit more today. These are dodgy at the back I reckon, not saying we aren’t mind but there are some promising little glimpses.

Problem is that players are o far apart in advanced positions. Etete, Bowler, colwill etc get swarmed on quickly. Not a complete defence of them because none of them are really doing much.

Players to far apart, everything ends up a long ball, Bulut will not have this team playing through the opposition at any point. Not one player allowed or prepared to get the ball from a deep position and get play going. And for all of my criticism of our so called creative players, 80% of the balls they receive are facing their own goal with nobody around them and no easy options. I don't think that these players are up to scratch as a collective, but Bulut's tactics are more conservative than Jacob Rees Mogg, and about as entertaining as him. Every passage of play is the same with the same outcome. I'm praying for a set piece.

Etete did well just now to win the ball out wide, picks up a loose ball and lays off the pass, but instead of making a run into the box he lingers on the edge of the area as if he's waiting to be a part of the build up, ball goes in and Bowler is too short to get on it....what are they telling these players in training?

Let's hope for a better second half.

We will win. Relax everyone. Bristol are very poor. This is there for us.

Perry Ng, becoming a big player for us, bit early to use the word 'legend' but certainly showing signs.
Love the way he plays, and how competitive he is on the pitch. Reminds of how I felt about McNaughton.

Some people do not like the dirtier side to his game, but the truth is those people would not have scored that header today, and ultimately a hand in the defenders face gave us 3 points and a win today.

It is frustrating we aren't very good but I think we can forget that most championship teams aren't very good. The league can be exciting but the quality is shite. Not sure why it gets such a positive reputation. Most teams are dire.

Decent enough half. 2 average side. Plus to me Turnbull who is starting to look a Decent purchase. Probably be the one to score or create goal.

It’s February I still can’t tell whether we purposely “take the sting out of the game” every first half or we’re just that boring

Still think this game is there for the taking
