Aside from presumably Swansea and maybe Newport or Bristol City, can anyone name the football league team, whose fans, at every match, sing a chant that has reference to us in it.
Well in fact, they even say the name “Cardiff”.
If you know, don’t spoil it straight away you melon.
is it Cardiff city?
Just to be clear… they would have only been singing this chant the last few years.
Leeds
Chasetown
I presume they are mocking us in some way?
Is it referencing our dismal seasons in the prem?
Or kit colours?
Or are the envious of how well our club is being managed
Barrow?
Haven’t had answer I was looking for yet.
Leeds may sing about us but I doubt it.
Believe it or not, the song isn’t mocking us.
Hull?
Not as far as I’m aware. Whats your thinking?
I was wondering whether there was some type of rebrand reference, thought I even remember something from the changing to Hull Tigers days.
Norwich!
Is it CCFC, Coventry City?
I'm thinking there must be some kind of connection.
Maybe thanking us for one of our ex players?
Or an owner connection -> Sam-> AFC Wimbledon?
Portsmouth?
I dont know but could it be one of the sides who played at the Mill Stadium when new Wembley was being built and they either won a playoff game or Cup final?
Some great thinking going on here.
The suggestions of Wimbledon and Sam,
Portsmouth because of the cup final,
Clubs who have played at Mill Stad,
Hull and the rebrand,
And the CCFC thing with Coventry, all make perfect sense.
And maybe some of them are even true.
But they aren’t what I was looking for.
