Aye innit. They all want a go - They'll be having Dai Hunt in there next. I sware the players sit there during it thinking about what they're having for tea for all the good it does to indulge these thesps to reel off all the fanciest words about collieries they can think of.
Cringe city. These pre game speeches come across as self pitying codswallop.
clickbait rag
I thought it was a bit boring and cringy
The constant need to tell everyone how Welsh and proud we are is nauseating.
Can't we be proud and happy without having to have these braveheart style speeches.
Also he just cut our already tiny population by a third ffs.
Not for me, didn't hit the spot.
Sort of bugged me right at the start when he said 'There's 2 million people in wales'.
He about a million out and I think quite important if you're trying to educate and inspire people on behalf of that nation
Its all very well talking about this nation stuff but what about the Taffy man united and Liverpool fans supporting ENGLISH football teams every weekend
It's all bollocks
Don't think Wales are the only team to have Celebs trying to inspire the players. Bit of armless motivation never hurt anyone.
I don't disagree with the 'taffia' nonsense.
That said some of the stuff you spout is more parochial than anyone. It's just the irony.
For what's it's worth, Rhys Ifans or anyone including Michael Sheen needed to motivate footballers playing for their country in a massive game is ****ing questionable.
First people I would question are the ****ing players.
That's me.
Pity one of the players didn't say to him.
"Get your own glue..."
Agree this should stop now, starting to feel a little manufactured.
We’re an odd bunch us Welsh, fiercely passionate about who we are yet get shit on by the U.K. government/monarchy and we lap it up all day. All the while being extremely pessimistic about Wales ever doing anything mildly successful and having 0 ambition
I give a fkkk
Wrexham , Caernarfon, Bangor City etc
Certainly not an English football team as nationalists make such a fuss about their pride in being Welsh
So either embrace it properly and support the teams that represent your area , country etc
Or piss off with it all and flush the flag down the toilet
It's all fake otherwise
.... there are also a proportion of Cardiff City fans and Cardiffians who are completely out of touch with what happens in the rest of the country. They don't follow the national team and turn their antenas to pick up bbc bristol. They "hates welsh" and think the assembly is a waste of money.
That kind of attitude strikes me as odd too. Maybe , even more so ... as club football is more incidental in my eyes than following your national team.
With that being said, considering the history and demogrphic make of South East Wales , we are far more "welsh....anti-union" than swansea fans. It's all very confusing.
