For Hibs, aged 39 as well
Yeah. Funnily enough, I've got an invitation to go and watch them via the other half of someone at the club (the full hospitality package....no...not like that you filthy lot). Never been there so I fancy it. Anyone been to their ground recently. Jimmy?
Its been a while , Rangers fans aren't that welcome in Leith. Had a bit of bother in a pub there many years ago , ended up in the police station . Police very kindly took us back to the game after questioning , they put us in the Hibs end . That was an uncomfortable afternoon.
Scottish football led the way in hooliganism unfortunately . Personally it almost affected my life path .
This was quite infamous back in the day

We didn't only fight with all away fans we fought amongst each other, wanting to be king pins at Ibrox.
It was a violent environment, that I was happy to leave .Judges were giving out big sentences to curb the violence.
Modern day Scottish football have their Ultras , well Rangers have , hopefully adding to the atmosphere rather than hooligans.
One of the best cities about for a city break . Great vibe to it , did a bit of walking in the Pentland Hills early December on my way up North . Liked the look of the Christmas Markets so did an Easy Jet city break (great value) before xmas , watched Real Betis v Rangers in a West End sports bar with a fellow Rangers supporter (from Edinburgh), a Celtic supporter a Hibs supporter and a load of people who couldn't care less .
Do the castle and all the cheesy tourist places . You will love it.
Fully agree. Edinburgh is a great city to visit and got plenty to do.
I love Glasgow too as its got plenty going on but usually found in The Horsehoe, Pot Still and a whole host of other public houses.
Done quite a few Pollok matches and even ventured into Shettleston last year to watch Glasgow United. Ended up in a pub in Shettleston which was interesting and great people.
The Horsehoe is bang in the middle of the City Centre but still retains the grittiness of Glasgow , great place for a spot of people watching .
You wont find any tourist information on drinking in Pollock or Shettleston anywhere . Visiting the locals pubs in any of the schemes is usually only for the brave ,specially if you aren't introduced. It may have matured somewhat in my absence.
David Marshall still playing and doing his bit for ‘Visit Scotland’ on this thread, versatility at its finest
Cracking keeper, safe pair of hands always be a hero in my eyes after that Leicester play off game, what a night that was
What ever happened to Edinburgh Blue and Blue Jags?
I went up to Easter Rd yrs ago to watch us play Hibs in a pre season friendly. Can’t remember the yr, but we got beat 2-1, Earnie scored our goal.It was feisty outside the ground for sure.
There was only between a 100 and 200 of us, but a police escort was required as all their nutters were out that day.
One of our boys stood near me had a burst eye,
Said he’d gone in a local boozer for a pre game pint and some Hibs fan gave him a doughboy before he even got to the bar 😁
When we played Falkirk a few pre seasons back, there were pubs that wouldn’t serve City fans, very strange.
