Thread: Jonny Williams

    Jonny Williams

What a superb player he would be for us!
Just the sort of player we need. Surely he wants proper first team footie now?

£5m bid? Or is he worth more?

He gets the ball, gives it, moves and gets it back, far too often. He is too interested in keeping hold of possession to be of use to us

No way City are going to spend big money on anyone.

I would only value Williams at about 1 1/2M and even that's out of our price range.

He was the best player on the park for 45 mins when Ipswich were down here earlier this season.

He's very much a dælhi player and we know Slade doesn't fancy that.

We have just spent 75k on a 31 yr old journey man who went Straight into the team. And you expect a 5m bid!

Btw, that 31-year-old is really going to have you eating humble pie. He is a good player.

Yes I think people are getting the wrong end of the stick here. We're selling the Marshall and Fabio's of this world, not signing them. Only a fraction of the money received, if any of it, will be spent on players. The "change of heart" in going back to blue was to placate fans when our better players are sold to be replaced by journeymen. Not that anyone brought in under these circumstances would necessarily do any worse however.

He looked OK yesterday I agree but he won't be getting anybody promoted out of this league

I genuinely hope your right and he does somehow improve on his career stats at this point. At 31 though I have a sneaky suspicion his best years are long gone
