The majority view of Islam condems the killings as to take another life is a sin.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:17
I maybe wrong - but I could have sworn that they are killing people who have drawn the prophet rather than Allah
The man killed in Denmark had done just that drawn a picture of 'Prophet Mo' - peace be upon him etc
ps I hate to quote Stephen Fry - but who would want to worship a 'god' that gives children cancer, allows famine etc.
Sounds to me like this God person is not exactly very nice - and his prophets were rather dislikeable to
They did kill those who drew the prophet (PBUH). Tbf that Stephen Fry quote explains why I am atheist.Originally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:35
Good points you raised earlier in this thread tooOriginally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:35
Haven't we done that? 70 plus pages of Truthpaste and others going nowhere.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:47
What do you believe will prevent an uprising of idealised, poorly educated and easily led Muslims to follow more extremist tendencies ?Originally Posted by adz-a32 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:30
Seems too many people describe Islam as how they want it to be, rather than what it is.Originally Posted by adz-a32 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:30
We have yes
My son's and my friends are Pakistani uk immigrants and what a lovely family they are. Very humble and have good family morals etc.
They integrate on a social level with my family, I guess I would have issue in that my son could not marry their daughter, or their daughter could not marry who she wanted to. I have issue with their silent acceptance of isis but also feel sorry for them. I have issue with just about every level of their thought process and religion but as individuals they are very nice. Would I want a religion free, nationalistic free UK , yes please.
Until Muslims integrate there will always be big problems, they need to assimulate into western free life style or find a place to live that fits into their expectations. At the moment Muslims that live in the UK are slightly hypocritical in my opinion
There isn't just one way of thinking. It would be like trying to understand Christianity by talking to just one Catholic.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:47
Good question. Unfortunately, it was arguably started by the USA when they created the taliban so we must undo that.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 22:15
Did you grow up in a Muslim family?Originally Posted by PugFugly wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 22:22
Local muslims have opened a boxing gym at the end of our road.
We've renamed the street Mohammed Alley.
It is against the tenets of Islam to worship anyone other than God. Therefore Muslims do not worship Mohammed, although he is respected as the last and most significant of the prophets..Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Sun, 15 February 2015 21:17
This is a Cardiff City forum and as such there aren't too many Muslims on here, which is why I was asking for those with opinions to express them.Originally Posted by lardy wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 01:10
By doing so, they are clearly stating that God (in their eyes) is NOT perfect and that they and the Prophet are actually perfect.Originally Posted by calonlan wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 11:59
Look at ALL the other worldwide atrocities in the name of Islam and are the US to blame for ALL of that ?Originally Posted by adz-a32 wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 09:20
Because the people responsible for these attacks have a twisted version of Islam not shared by the vast majority of Muslims worldwide. Likewise, Peter Sutcliffe's interpretation of Christianity is not shared by most Christians.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 12:17
Okay. I do not have the answers.Originally Posted by purple haze2 wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 12:20
Some people cannot differentiate between maintaining own culture whilst respecting others and adopting the culture of your adopted home. The two aren't necessarily mutually exclusive.Originally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 00:11
Not all of them integrate. Some find the very country that they now live in so abhorrent that they want to kill its citizens.Originally Posted by Peace Frog wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 13:57
Isis have slaughtered many many more Muslims than Christians or non believers.Originally Posted by Jimmy Jimmy wrote on Mon, 16 February 2015 00:11
