Surprised no one has mentioned "brassed off" which I thought was superb. I also watched "wild bill" recently which for a low budget film was pretty good.
Where gangster movies are concerned I thought "face" with robbie Carlisle and Damon auburn was top class action.
Like a few others in this thread, I'm a big fan of the Ealing comedies and the Third Man is one of the best films I've seen.Originally Posted by nathansfmachine wrote on Wed, 04 March 2015 09:12

Some cracking films listed in this thread. Faves of mine include 'The Long Good Friday.', 'Get Carter' and 'Scum'. But a real personal favourite of mine, is a film called 'The Villain.' Starring Richard Burton as an Eastend Gangster, for me it has great unintended comedy value. Quite funny seeing Burton acting as a violently gay Eastend gangster, with a dodgy cockney accent.
10 Rillington Place deserves a place on the list as well.
As does The Offence, chilling film.
