I'm waiting for the animals coming in 2 by 2 myself.
I hope it's better than the film.
Or the book even.

What, no water? was that in the bible? that the water disappeared straight away?
amazing that they only washed up a short way from where they floated off, i mean the whole world to travel and they landed in the middle eastOriginally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Mon, 30 March 2015 22:01
So explain, God puts Adam & Eve on Earth who are the origins of Man. Then God wipes out everyone with a load of water. So surely Noah is the Earth's original ancestor. Thank God for Darwin. ( irony alert)

It was basically an hour and a half of DIY SOS for a northern family filmed in a desert without any proper back story.Originally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Mon, 30 March 2015 22:01

Interestingly a great many ancient cultures have a great flood fable, not just this one.
I read an article I think in new scientist that said that at one point Africa and Europe were connected at Gibraltar, and the Mediterranean was all land, but that it flooded at some point in human history.
Now that would have been a spectacular flood.
I bet there is some great stuff out there under the sea too.Originally Posted by redjk wrote on Tue, 31 March 2015 09:28
Actually I got my flood stories mixed up. The refilling of the Mediterranean last happened 5.3 million years ago so it predates modern humans. The one I was thinking of was the med emptying into another sea.Originally Posted by Mrs Steve R wrote on Tue, 31 March 2015 11:22
