Around 80 to 100 swallows are gathering on the electric wires nearby.
Looks like they are getting ready leave....
Please don't go, we haven't had summer yet.....

An amazing bird , which migrates 190 miles a day to the bottom of South Africa, and then returns again for our summer.
Lover, there will be another one
Who'll hover over you beneath the sun
Tomorrow see the things that never come
Today
When you see me
Fly away without you
Shadow on the things you know
Feathers fall around you
And show you the way to go
It's over, it's over.
Nestled in your wings my little one
This special morning brings another sun
Tomorrow see the things that never come
Today
When you see me
Fly away without you
Shadow on the things you know
Feathers fall around you
And show you the way to go

Would have thought it was a bit early for Swallows to leave unless our crazy weather has something to do with it? When i was a kid Swallows along with Swifts and House Martins seemed to be everywhere but sadly along with a lot of other species locally they've been in rapid decline.
Bloody migrants taking all our worms.
Swallows feed on insects not worms.
Glad to help.

GB,
As a Troubador and Minstrel, do you perchance view the birds upon the wire as if notes upon the stave? Upon the very staves of life?
And if so, what sweet music doth they convey?
Pray tell. A Hey nonny no.
