Not an obsessive but quite like the Star Wars films. Have d/l all 6 to watch again before the new one comes out. Just wondering which way around is the best order to watch them. The "original' 3 as they came first or the second 3 as they were prequels so the story then runs chronologically. Or does it matter either way?![]()

Episodes 1, 2 and 3 are garbage.Originally Posted by tomm wrote on Sat, 12 September 2015 09:12
The Machete Order is best.
IV and V (The first two of the originals)
II and III (The most recent lot)
VI (Return of the Jedi)
This website details it best...

I watch them all still, A New Hope is still my favorite by a distance but, like bands when they shake off there was only 10 at the gig to stadium rock, it then becomes fashionable to hate everything that follows. I enjoy all the films.
I haven't seen episodes 1-3 but I am expecting them to be referenced in Episode 7. So, I will finally watch episodes 1-3 when I build up enough enthusiasm.Originally Posted by Feedback wrote on Sat, 12 September 2015 09:21
1 - 6 , that way the story makes sense and you get the full story
though we know that 1 & 2 are fairly hard work, but if you want something bad enough, you work at it
Thanks all, dont like the sound of that 'machete order' given that it misses i episode entirely.
Im going to try the 'alternative order' of IV, V, I, II, III, VI
Hope the new one adds to the story in a constructive way and doesn't turn out to be a blatant cash in on the franchise
I've never seen a Star Wars film![]()
