Latest polling - The Referendum thread

Suggests a very narrow victory for remain.

    52-48 or closer.

Either way it isn't going to be that conclusive it seems.

Its a strange one, i would still say it is too close to call.

However leave is drifting by the hour started the day at 5/1 you can now get 8/1. Remain is 1/12

    This is extremely telling imo

This won't be a shift due to money going down. This will be the bookies holding their own exit polls.

    Stock markets are up

    This won't be close

Possibly going on voter turnout, where more is thought to favour remain. Nobody knows though as this election could be very different to other ones

Its a strange one because it is supposed to be such a tight call.

Its a 50-50% two horse race and the bookies have tied it up like Manchester United playing Wrexham in the FA cup.

During the GE the bookies had the Tories favorite by a margin, while the polls were suggesting a split government.

Why the bookies are doing this, i dont know, but it seems there is money to be made if you fancy the leave vote, or even on a punt.

You think the bookies have remain at 10 or 12 to one ON if they think it will be close?

    This won't be close

FTSE up 1.21% - the pound up 1.17% against the dollar. Up 2.34% against the Yen. Also up 1.18% against the Guatemalan Quetzal.

The markets think it's more or less a conclusive Remain vote. They have more information than the news outlets and the bookies.

If it was as close as 52-48, the markets would be down. They're up. They've been moving up all week. The pound has been moving up all week. These people have a lot of data - I'd be betting on a 55-45 win to remain on the market data. I could be wrong completely.

I agree. The GBP is nearly at 1.49 vs USD. The smart money guys have known for about a week that it was all over bar the Faraging.

    14 June - FTSE down 2.01%
    15 June - up .73%
    16 June - down .27%
    17 June - up 1.19%
    20 June - up 3.04%
    21 June - up .36%
    22 June - up .56%
today - up 1.14% at the moment. Fallen back a little after earlier being up 1.45%. If the data they had suggested a knife-edge vote, the markets would have lost the gains they made last Friday and Monday.

Depends what data the markets have - it could be completely wrong and tomorrow would be messy if they have got it wrong.

Word of warning, if we vote Leave today, it means the end of Wales' Euro hopes.

London (along with Scotland and Norn Ireland) stronly pro-Remain.

London under water and people with greater priorities than voting..
