David Cameron appointed Lords at a faster rate than any Prime Minister in history - 40 a year - and he's not done yet! He is set to appoint a string of party donors and confidantes to the House of Lords in his resignation honours list.
Last summer, Cameron had his Lords appointments delayed again and again while civil servants weeded out the dodgiest donors. This time, it's not just civil servants complaining. Oil executive and Conservative party donor Ian Taylor has asked not to be given a knighthood - because the whole thing stinks!
Politicians should be accountable to the people. Money shouldn't be able to buy you the right to sit in Parliament. That's why we need an elected House of Lords. We know that the new Prime Minister is on our side on Lords reform.
Help show Theresa May why she should make Lords reform a priority. Let's end this Lords appointments farce!

I think you'll find it's only a prerequisite for the clergy to be dodgy to become members of the House of Lords.
Many of the doddering characters appear to pocket a daily attendance allowance before nipping down to the nearest Thai massage parlour. As a cost-cutting measure they should be replaced by unskilled East Europeans who'll produce signatures at a fraction of the price.
Jeremy Corbyn is in the dog house this morning for not clearing his honours list with the Chief Rabbi first of all. Theresa May had dinner with him the night before she went off to meet the Queen and got approval to proceed with the job of being Britain's Prime Minister.
Jeremy didn't clear his list with old CR before submitting it (my guess is there were some names he wanted Jezza to add) and as a result all the toys have been thrown out of the cot...

He didn't clear it with CST, who wanted their leader, convicted criminal and ex-street thug, Gerald Ronson, ennobled. He didn't clear it with Sussex Friends of Israel's Head charang, Simon Cobb, who also would have preferred Gerald to have been made a Lord.
This is Simon explaining to a couple of pensioners the error of their ways for sporting Palestinian badges and peacefully picketing on a Sussex high street.
