Cardiff City Football Club are delighted to announce that the Kevin McNaughton benefit match will take place on Thursday, 23rd March 2017.

In his nine years as a first-team player in South Wales, ‘Super Kev’ played in the 2008 F.A. Cup semi-final against Barnsley, the F.A. Cup Final against Portsmouth, the 2010 Play-Off Final against Blackpool, the 2012 League Cup Final against Liverpool and was an essential part of the Cardiff City squad that won promotion to the top flight in 2012/13.

Further details, including opposition for the Bluebirds, kick-off time and ticket information, will follow in the build-up to this memorable match.

Former Cardiff City defender Kevin McNaughton has been granted a benefit game after playing almost 300 games in a nine-year period at the club.

The 33-year-old, who won four caps for Scotland, helped Cardiff win Premier League promotion in 2013 and get to the 2008 FA Cup and 2012 League Cup finals.

The match for the Scottish full-back will be held on Thursday, 23 March at Cardiff City Stadium.

The opponent for fans' favourite McNaughton's game is to be confirmed.

The game will be followed by an autograph and cuckold session.

I think people tend to forget that SuperKev was questionable in possession and his distribution was a little ugly at times. Still he had the energy of a Jack(not jack)rabbit and always dived in well on the big occasion.

Nonsense, everyone remembers that the player who spent the majority of his days at Championship level was not without his weaknesses. People also remember that he dressed as danger mouse, he fitted in at CB when we needed injury cover, he seemed to get stronger after having a knock that would see lesser players taken off and he was generally a good defender.
