Problems are mounting for Nottingham Forest head coach Philippe Montanier ahead of the visit of Cardiff live on Sky Sports 1 on Saturday evening.
Hildeberto Pereira is suspended after his red card in the defeat to Blackburn while fellow defender Matt Mills must also serve a one-match ban after he received his fifth yellow card of the season at Ewood Park.
Midfielders David Vaughan and Mustapha Carayol went off injured during the 2-1 loss against Rovers in midweek, joining striker Nicklas Bendtner in the treatment room, and they look likely to miss out on Saturday evening.
Daniel Pinillos has resumed training and is making good progress in his recovery from a knee injury and the defender is close to being back in contention but Matty Fryatt (Achilles) is still out.
Cardiff manager Neil Warnock, who missed out on the Forest job in the summer, has revealed he has "a couple of problems" regarding injuries but has refused to specify who is affected.
Because of the evening kick-off, Warnock intends to travel to Forest first before making a decision on the players carrying knocks.
Former England international Kieran Richardson may make his debut after being an unused substitute against Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.
Another new signing, Marouane Chamakh, made his first appearance off the bench against the Owls and could push for a starting spot.

Cmon City we can take all 3 points today.
Connelly and Pinks selected,
In for Pelts & Noone
Starting XI: Amos, Connolly, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Whittingham, Ralls, Gunnarsson, Hoilett, Lambert, Pilkington
Wilson, Richardson, O’Keefe, Harris, Immers, Noone, Chamakh
Peltier will be a big miss. It must be 2 years or so since Connolly last played right back?
Pilkington for Noone makes sense.
Fancy Pilks to get one today.
Great results for us Blackburn, Derby and Wigan all lost
Think we'll win today
**** it I'm going for a 3-0 victory
A draw gets us out of the relegation zone and I'd take that right now - though a win would be incredibly welcome.
There are no easy matches in this league, and with where we are right now I think we'll struggle to win away from home for a while yet. Give the team time to get some coherence before hoping for too much I think.
However, the irrational football fan in me agrees with tigerbaybluebird - we're going to hammer them!

Must say i only recognise one or two names in that Forest line up. I didn't even know who their manager was.
Big club Forest, but struggling at the moment.
11 games in the Championship so far this weekend. No draws and every winning team has kept a clean sheet.
Ralls just blew a one on one.
Like to see pilkington where ralls is and noone in the team
Neither team pulling up any trees (pun intended) as yet.
GUNNARSSON!!!
