Amazing Attenborough still has the appetite at his age, but it's great for all of us. Great TV.
Just superb.
BBC doing what BBC does best.
I taped it and just watched the Snake bit, bloody hell they were coming from all facking angles !
The penguins and what they go through every two day cycle... 2 mile walk, leap of death, hunt for fish, treacherous landing, 2 mile walk fully laden with food and injuries, fight off predators, feed the kids, handover to the missus, day baby sitting, repeat...!!
Amazing pictures, music, real drama portrayed by the master himself.
Darwin himself would be moved by it all.
Superb!
A lot of the footage has been carefully edited to create those stories. The Sloth thing was a classic example. You never saw the two sloths together. Disgraceful I have already written a three pager complaint to the Beeb. Will post in the morning. So misleading for young kids who believe their propaganda.
Great cinematography though. So 2 out of 10 from me.
The yanks released the BBC series Life, with Oprah Winfrey narrating instead of 'crusty old english guy Attenbrough' as one reviewer called him. Even the yanks preferred the Attenbrough version, I could listen to him all day long.

There was a thread on sloths on reddit a few days ago. One in a tree and an eagle swooped by and picked him up for dinner.
People were shocked.
Then someone said that was a good death for a sloth.
As they are so slow moving about on the jungle floor, the least powerful animals see them as prey.
Crawling with their entrails hanging out, being pecked at mercilessly..........by an owl.
They're too slow to survive. I'd always laughed at them but they live horrific lives.
Whenever I close my eyes I see racer snakes
I thought the Komodo dragons were more interesting and scary. Imagine being parachuted on to that Island, just you and 2000 starving and sexually frustrated dragons on a tiny piece of land.
Terrifying.
Just watched it on catch up and got the series link too. Really enjoy wildlife programmes ad documentaries in general. Attenborough is the best narrator ever. The Racer snake one was quite scary. Hate to think what was going through the Iguana's mind as they were running for the rocks. Reminded me of trying to find our coach at Wembley in 1979 England v Wales. All the cockneys appearing from everywhere asking you for the time.
