You always say nonsense like this, but you tell us things like they are "facts" but your track record of actually getting things correct is abysmal.

If you are such a wise old owl, why do you keep getting things wrong?

Seriously, would you listen to someone like yourself who keeps getting everything wrong, then just moves onto the next wrong thing?

Good read, we are just talking about the Hegelian Dialectic and how our minds work in my group, it's an interesting topic.

Conformation bias should be a eureka moment for anybody who assumes that they are critical thinkers. The media know that your brain is like putty, just waiting to be filled up with their crap, and most people are complient by the time they leave high school.

TruBlue will be along shortly to say it's not so

Forget about the personalities involved, but I find this article pretty depressing. i agree with the things said about specialist journalists having their reputations shredded, but, apparently, elections are won these days by the candidate who is "more entertaining" and generates "more passion" - a Facebook candidate for the Facebook generation.

Giving 'the people' hope, what they want to hear and a solution as to how it will be done will win votes compared to someone who does nothing.

It would have been nice if Carwyn Jones could have and would have done that for Port Talbot - instead he marched off to the EU HQ and said - ah ok - fair enough then - nowt I can do.
Clinton was offering the destruction of America while Trump said that he would save it. All he did was make statements that were 100% opposite to those of the Democrats, and he amplified them to such an extent that nobody would fail to get his message.

Regarding the mainstream media, Wikileaks proved beyond doubt that they are lying slime-balls. I think the USA is ahead of us regarding the alternative media, this can be seen in the way the general public swallowed all the propaganda regarding Miliband and Corbyn. However a turning point may have occurred over Brexit, as people started waking up to what what going on.

It's easy to spot the influence of the media, as people usually regurgitate the message when discussing various topics. Some even go a step further, and use the alternative media as a tool to ridicule those who have a different opinion.

I'm not sure if it's only a temporary stuation, but right now the mainstream media are a bunch of liars, a busted flush. And don't get me started on Katy Perry and Milly Cyrus, whose mission it is to destroy of morals of western teenagers. The liberal elite have a lot to answer for, including common purpose/core, etc. We have been infiltrated and the implosion of the EU cannot come soon enough IMO.

He may well have been offering change but the reality will be somewhat different I feel.

It's very easy to stand on the sidelines and shout soundbites for cheap headlines. Not so easy to implement them when most of it is bollox.

He's already backtracking on healthcare (not so bad now he's thought about it) and building a wall (perhaps a fence would be cheaper and less symbolic?) - give him time and he'll be just another lying politician that he spent his campaign rallying against.

Personally I think he'll be lucky to last a couple of years.

You don't half talk some shit to boost your own self inflated ego.

The top selling papers in the country all championed for Brexit, nothing to do with little Timmy tinfoils wordpress website that has had 3 visitors in 10 years.

America are no where near us with alternative media.

Private eye began in 1961, for example.

I'm talking a out the disclosure of hard facts, not one Murdoch paper saying leave and the other saying stay. Ditto the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday. The unpalitable history of the EU was mainly ignored by the popular media, as was its ultimate destiny.

Genuine question, how does he plan to get all of those former blue collar jobs back for the people who are generally reckoned to have won the election for him without raising taxes?

What do you think had more influence on the masses when it came to Brexit? The Daily Mail or Infowars.com?

The newspapers just agreed with the majority of their readership. It was a business decision, not a political one
