Charlton 0 Sheffield Utd 1
It's been ... quite a day
So it has Newcastle cost me £135
Ok. Let's have a look at it, shall we?
This is your actual comment within this thread - "The team Slade assembled were always going to come good". This was with reference the Charlton team.
Just to make sure I'm not mistaken here, you have said that
a) Slade assembled the Charlton team
b) suggested that the team was going to come good, so by default
c) future results will be down (to a large extent, give or take the input from the new manager) to Slade's work in assembling the team.
So, take that entire logical process and apply it to Cardiff. At the start of the season:
a) The side had mainly the same personnel as the season before and was a result of 18 months in charge by Russell Slade.
b) Was either going to improve, stay at a similar level or get worse.
c) Future results were going to be down (to a large extent, give or take the input from the new manager) to Slade's work in assembling the team.
This is all your comment. I've not twisted your words, put words in your mouth, nothing at all. If you say there is a different set of circumstances, then you're actually undermining your own argument.
Coventry losing 2-1 at Bristol Roverzzz
Racing towards the bottom of a different league.
Well done Russ...
2 points from 12.
Poor. Even by Slade's standards.
Put to the sword by the mighty Fleetwood Town today.
Under Slade: P5 W0 D2 L3
They did give Brighton's Under 21s a good thrashing through. Russ had them up for it that night.
Bottom of the table.....oh dear
Still rooted to the bottom, not a win in last ten games

A real Slade watch treat Coventry are live on Sky and are 1-0 up
No mate my interest in Slade evaporated the day he was no longer involved with CCFC. He did a greT job getting us to 8th last season. His contribution to CCFC is in the past but i cant help reminding you of the rather unfortunate comment you made earlier this season concerning the signing of Rickie Lambert something along the lines of " Im so pleased we havent had a forward like Lambert since the days of Peter Thorne"........ oh dear!!
Coventry off to Wembley for the final of some 'happy shopper' cup.
Good old Russ.
The man's a born winner.
