It will keep them up imo. They had no choice
In a way Ranieri had it quite easy in winning the league. He hardly ever tinkered with the team or needed to. It was a case of "same again lads" every game. When most were expecting them to capitulate as the winning line drew nearer, they looked stronger. The bonding in that team must have been immense, plus they had the momentum and desire. It was a formidable force. This season when there have been problems, the club have come up short. Every alteration or tinkering has seen things get worse. This, arguably, was a bigger test for Ranieri than last season, one that he has drawn wide criticism for.
Go for it!!
It's the same team as last year virtually, there's clearly something very wrong in the dressing room and yet again player power wins.
Were they not saying he "Had the job for life", last season.
You are taking Leicester's title out of context. Last season, Leicester's aim was to stay up. Stay up!!!! They won the title, I seem to remember your statistical analysis indicated that Leicester wouldn't win the league as late as April.
This season, their aim was to stay up. They're not going down and just got a cracking result in Seville.
There is no loyalty in the game, that is why the game is broke. One thing - Leicester won the title with the same crux of players 9 months ago. Is Ranieri the sole culprit?
If Cardiff won the Premier league with Garry Monk in charge, I would be more than happy for him to see out the next season - even if Cardiff were bottom with 12 points. And I despise Monk.
Are you really saying that Ranieri doesn't deserve more time? The man who achieved a miracle last season? Are you really saying he is incapable of keeping them up - the same bloke that achieved the impossible 9 months ago? If so, you're talking out of your statistically metaphoric arse.
Club statement "our first and main aim is to survive". They are surviving. Plus they are in the last 16 of the European Cup with an away goal.
Jesus Christ on a pedalo - the Premier League trophy is still in their boardroom! When everyone tipped them to go down! If you don't understand why this decision is wrong then it confirms you view football as nothing more than a statistical exercise. If that is all the game is now, facts, figures and money, then what is the point? It needs romance, dreams, shocks and surprises. If it is now this clinical then it is little wonder that the outside world views our game as little more than greedy tw@ts acting on an ugly and selfish way.
Kris. Leicester are in freefall. They have looked like a very poor side for a couple of months now. They are heading for relegation. Ranieri may have kept them up but thats far from certain. Leicester fans are suggesting the players have let him down and are not playing for him. If the dressing room is lost so is the manager.
Then sort it out in the summer. They should have gone down 20 months ago. Ranieri saved them from the drop then won them the title. This decision removes all the gloss from the most amazing football story of our generation. If players are throwing tantrums then caving in to them is a short term decision that will ultimately fail.
Tis true. http://www.statto.com/football/stats...form-table-ten
Quite a remarkable turn around that season. They beat Man Utd 5-3 in their 5th game of the season then, of the next 24, they lost 17. To win 7 of their last 9 was incredible and took them from being 7 points adrift to 6 points above the drop zone.
His team selection may not have altered too much but they went from scoring 3-4 goals a game to a series of games winning 1-0. The formidable force has become a team where nothing works.
Still, Phil Neville (I know) was talking about whether showing so much heart against Sevilla was the turning point and I can't see many coming in and improving them in the their remaining games.
Likely replacement? He's available...

You are working on the premise that their current form will be their future form. In football, no-one knows.
Example.
Cardiff have won 4 out of 5.
Prior to that they won 2 out of 5.
Using your formula, Cardiff should be 6 points worse off.
Form plays a small part in predicting the next result. It's a small part though - that's why the bookies make a fortune. Sport doesn't run to a formula, it doesn't follow Poisson distributions, it cannot be forecast.

Russell "fecking" Slade will be available soon Leicester....
I had a 'Come on you Foxes' vibe all last year,
Fox off you cummers suits this year better.
Daft, daft knee-jerk reaction.
'Form is temporary - class is permanent' A phrase long ignored in British football!
Fail.
