Why do goalkeepers palm the ball back into play rather than palm round the post.
Three quick subs
Whitts, Pilks and Noone on.
Hoilett, Ralls and Halford off.
FT Forest 0 - 1 Blackburn
FT Rotherham 1 - 1 Birmingham
FT Wednesday 1 - 0 Cardiff
FT Bristol City 2 - 1 QPR
FT Brentford 4 - 0 Derby
FT Norwich 1 - 3 Fulham
zzzzzzz zzzzzzzz zzzzzzzz boring predictable end to a shite boring season. No wonder we can't sell season tickets
FT Huddersfield 3 - 2 Preston (96th min winner for Huddersfield)
Agree entirely with that. I knew George Wood years ago and he used to say a keeper should never parry the ball straight back into play. McGregor was criticised several times on the commentary today and having seen the goal, he looked as if he pushed it straight back out even though he got both hands to it.
I wasn't impressed with Wednesday.
Maybe nerves but they looked poor - until that 5 minute period of pressure when The Diver scored. But it did show the depth of their squad - bringing on Rhodes and Forestieri when our equivalent subs were Noone and Pilkington.
A draw would have been fair. We defended well for most of the game - and smart too.
I've just seen their goal on SS1 and - fair play to Forestieri - it was a case of one moment of determination more than quality grabbing the win. Jazz was within inches of kicking him in the face before he headed the ball.
Wednesday fans leaving the ground (the ones I overheard) thought they had played well (!) but were mostly stimied by spoiling tactics from Warnock. I think that is mass delusion caused by tribal hatred of Warnock. Apart from the goal the game was a stalemate with not many chances either way - although there was more action and more space in the second half.
"A very difficult team to play against because they prepare corners, the throws, the free-kicks.
The game was broken, too much broken. But we knew this before the game, that we will play against a team with this kind of style. They play more physical and I think we prepared very well."
Yet another view on the beautiful game of Cardiff.
And still none of you admit you play this kind of direct, thugball....
Where have you been mind? What a pathetic ****
