No not really because McGregor would win, if this fight was an MMA match. What happens now is the UFC gets loads of publicity.
Mayweather isn't really a big knockout fighter, he will dance 5 rounds around him and then finish him off. I cant see McGregor being able to land shots.

Mcgregor would just take him to the floor in MMA.
To switch between both methods of fighting you have to dramatically change you defensive stance to defend the open areas of your body. That takes a huge amount of time.

I take it you havn't watched much MMA. Boxers rarely do well in the sport. Mainly because their ground work is not up to it.
