    Phil Jagielka

There have been several stories today claiming we are interested in Jagielka.

    Surely just 2 + 2 = 5 paper talk?

We don't need another aging centre back do we?

I think HITC is the source, copied by the others, so probably just froth.

As much as it's not a position we need to fill, and even though he is 34 now, a player who was such a commanding captain at a top 6 premier league club would be an immense boost to this club. Wages and fitness would need to be considered, however, and whether we are giving new deals to one of or both Bamba and Manga. If he is to be a Bellamy I would go for it but if he's a Fowler I would not.

He's played for Warnock before. He'd be a good signing I reckon. Loads of experience, and a good old head in the dressing room we've been missing since Huds left.

Only way this move seems feasible to me is if Bruno Manga has decided to move on.

My thoughts too. I wonder if Warnock has given Manga a deadline

Jagielka has one year remaining on his current contract so I am pretty sure that Everton would need to make a significant financial contribution for us to afford him.

I think that this is paper talk or maybe Jagielka's agent trying to drum up interest in his client.

He must have something about him...remember that David Moyes told Vidic and Ferdinand to watch DVD's of him
