like most rational ppl I'm somewhere inbetween slightly right n left on different issues
the point I'm trying to make eventually is
I'm finding more and more people seem to be either
very very left or very very right wing ive noticed this mainly with young ppl (sorry kids lol)

I think it's those who wanted to stay in the EU are the selfish ones, 30 odd years of EU control has created an underclass in the U.K, they voted to leave when given an opportunity, and those with their cushy lifestyles and pensions have cried ever since, this branding of left and right is just a phallacy. The planet is in a mess because those who have, want the status quo irrespective of being left or right, you have socialist millionaires trying to pretend they care, just look at the Kinnocks and Blair and plenty more of them lower down the food chain. Going to different cities smashing the place up isn't the answer

Left wing and right wing are now terms only really used to abuse and belittle someone's opinions because you don't want to challenge the finer points.
Politics today is about short term thinking versus long term thinking and also often ideology versus logic. Someone voting for brexit simply because they wished to curb immigration was operating on short term ideological thinking. Often within government policy the lines will be blurred and even more often politicians won't admit their real reason for pursuing a certain agenda, that is when it becomes tricky.
I don't think it is fair to throw everyone on 'the left' into this category.
