For saying N@@@@@ in a woodpile.
Yet the BBC play black artist lyrics using the N word almost daily.
Discuss.
"White lady MP"
I doubt that a Black, Male MP would have got away with using the N word in public .
But her using it, smacks of how utterly out touch these buffoons really are, and the OP's hinted opinion that she was somehow hard-done-by maybe illustrates how the hell these feckers get voted for, and by whom, in the first place.
Been done to death, you can search all the arguments online, some interesting social commentaries from all sides, however 99.9% are from America.
****** in the UK has no place, and very very few British artist use it in songs lyrics, ether as a term or endearment, insult or a flippant remark. I'd love to know which tracks you heard it on that the BBC broadcasted?
****** has been classed as a racial insult dating back to late 1800's, the word has strong connotations intended to demean and insult. This isn't a slip of the tongue as some recent change brought about by the "PC brigade", what she said is offensive to some people as shouldn't really be used in public, its shows a lack of class and intelligence.
What's your thoughts?
ahhh so it all depends on context and if it offends the person in question
if he din mean nothing nasty by it then its used in a diff context I give
an example
when I go to see my mrs in kent I'm called taffy sheep shagger with chuckle
does not bother me in the the slightest I just get on with it
like I say context
Taffy and sheep shagger obviously aren't in the same league as ******, but context is important. I once had to tell someone to stop calling me taffy because he wasn't doing it in a jokey way - he thought English people were better than Welsh and he meant it as a slur. Others have called me it with no problems.
