British nations however have the gentleman's agreement not to nationality changes due to residency. If say Coleman decided to be cheeky and do that, then English FA could quickly and easily do the same, meaning all Welsh talent flocking to English academies would then be fair game.
I think that only counts for players born within the UK. Players from outside the UK can become eligible due to residency - I believe that was how Zaha could play for England (but might be wrong).
