No, you haven't thought it through. In that scenario we'd be feeling rotten while Borough would be ecstatic, obviously, so the gag wouldn't work. I suppose I could say it's rotten Borough signed him but I don't think I, or this message board, would be in the mood for humour at a time like that.
Equalizing in the last minute - must have been harrowing for the opposition.
The Development team are playing at Leckwith this afternoon against Sheffield Wednesday, kick off 2 o clock
We've got a Poyet playing for us today - can't be Gus' son can it?
https://twitter.com/cardiffcitydvp?lang=en
I am pretty sure his son was playing at some level previously. However, that's as far as my knowledge goes! On an unrelated matter, I would like to see these youth development threads made a Sticky on a matchday like today as it would be easier to access any updates. I enjoy reading this thread, but 9 pages on a matchday is heavy going if on mobile!
It's Diego Poyet on the team sheet which is Gus's son's name.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diego_Poyet I presume?
I suppose there's no harm kicking the tyres on him but not sure he's done much to show he can contribute at this level. Maybe Warnock sees him as a possible reclamation project?
1 - 2 FT Meite with our goal, their winner was on 90 mins.
And so it begins....
Thanks no.1 of the season. Good to hear the turn out was really healthy. Hopefully this lasts now and isn't just a start of the season bump.
Not sure why WoL said that Duffus was a CAM. Possibly because they are Duffus's. Though it could be useful if he's a utility player. The club website made the same definition.
Good to hear Declan has been chucked on the wing. Wouldn't want to see Abbruzzese blocked as I think he has to play at this level now. Looks like Young and Coxe will be starters for the DVP, though I'd like to see the latter go out on loan.
The U18's profiles have been updated on the club website. Some new faces to me and useful to have some basic details on the youngsters.

TOBW I hope you don't mind me dropping your u18 report in here?...

After reading a yellow and mauve army report, this is like reading a fag packet...

Sounds like Ratcliffe was busy and had a good game. Bob can you tell me roughly what his physical stats are? I hope he's lanky. I feel like the GK prospects Cardiff and Wales tend to produce recently are just too short to make it to the top of the game.
Do you think we can expect to Bodenham, Isaak Davies or any of the other prospects stepping up to DVP football any time soon? Hopefully we can actually loan some of the DVP players out for experience and make room for younger players to come through. I have a feeling there will be no need for "Loanwatch" this season. I don't think we have a single player loaned out yet.
It's always hard to tell with youngsters that age because they could still add an extra few inches or they could almost have stopped growing. Id' say Ratcliffe is currently something like six foot tall and pretty solidly built - if I had to guess, I don't see him being another Pantilimon.
Bodenham played a few times for the Development team last season and I'd say the results were mixed as he struggled once or twice, but the encouraging thing was that when he was good, he was very good - I'm thinking here in particular of a game against Burnley that we were losing 1-0 when he came on, but the improvement which eventually earned us a 2-1 win coincided almost exactly with when he came on and he didn't put a foot wrong that day.
I was told on Saturday that Isaak Davies is only fifteen - I certainly like what I've seen of him so far.
Of the others in Saturday's team, Sion Spence played quite a few matches for the Development team and Laurence Wooton got a few minutes as sub for them last Monday, but I don't believe the others have done so yet.
I reckon that we'll see a few players go out on loan in the next ten days - of the youngsters, I'd say somebody might take a punt on Cameron Coxe or Rhys Abbruzzese, wouldn't be surprised if Mark Harris is loaned out as well.
Speaking of those three players, I see Coxe and Harris aren't in the Development side today at Forest - there's a couple of names there that I don't recognise - Makinson (who may have played for us last season? - just checked, yes he did, he must have done enough to earn a contract) and Osawe and I see Diego Poyet is playing again.

Only Osawe I came across when I Googled it was

Actually, Attah is another name I'm not familiar with - couldn't find anything on Google either.
Poor result today, beaten 3-0 by Sheffield United.
The two unfamiliar players are Ufumwen Osawe and David Attah

Seems an unusual and unsettled approach so far. There are 7 players listed on the main site for the U23 team and we still seem to be taking players on trial.
Also, just noticed Weymans is back in Belgium having signed for Tubize. (Sorry if already posted).
Thanks for the info on Weymans. Shame he's gone as he seemed to boss some games last term. A move back probably suits him though. He's probably ready for senior football, especially if it's the second flight of the Belgian pyramid. Good luck to him.
You would hope that the Toulon tournament was a good advert for those three TOBW mentions. Coxe really made a name for himself. I'd be dissapointed if he didn't get a loan. I think Harris is ready physically.
Sounds like our new signings the trialist triplets aren't gelling like you expect they might. Poyet probably is worth a good look. He seemed a good prospect a few years ago.

Under 23s at home to Crewe at Leckwith today, kick off 2 o clock.
Something has just appeared on the Crewe club website saying that today's match is an evening kick off, but City's Twitter feed confirms it is a 2 o clock start.
