You can take a boy out of Bristol...
He shud a noked him out,i wud a noked him out...
Does without intent mean self defence?
I think it means you seriously hurt someone but didn't mean to. E.g. throwing a bottle which hits someone but you didn't deliberately throw it at them.
Erm, can you do down for this?
5 years, 7 if racially motivated.
it's the lesser form of the charge isn't it
It depends. With a Section 20 GBH (without intent) if it's not serious enough to be sent to the Crown Court, and he's tried or pleads at Magistrates' Court the maximum sentence is either an unlimited fine and/or 6 months' custody.
If it goes to Crown Court it's up to five years' custody. I don't think he's got any previous so it's likely any custodial sentence would be suspended.
Not good though.
Were the club aware of this issue ? Me thinks not. I cant see him getting much game time between now and his trial.

Hopefully this will all blow over but it could provide an interesting dilemma for the club if he is found guilty & the full circumstances are known. The one current positive I can see in this is the without intent part of the charge which suggests that whatever injury was caused was not a deliberate act by Tomlin & Kee
