What percentage of the surface area of England and Wales respectively are buildings?
Don't forget that an undulating surface covering a square mile on a map has a greater surface area than a flat tract of land covering the same square mile.
I reckon less than 1% England, less than 0.1% Wales
The answer is....England is 2% buildings and Wales is 0.9% buildings.
How much of this land can you actually go and take a stroll on though. Maybe the question should be what percentage of population owns the land. I liked the original question n all though. You can see the self serving housing crisis for what it is.
