It was like the O.K. Corral as well.
I hope everyone got back safe with no damage to their car....or faces!

Never mind. At least you didn't lose your car in Canton!
It was ridiculous, not helped by the OB blocking off the exits to let the weeds busses through, then the traffic lights appearing to be stuck on red
Terrible traffic management at the end of games. They need it to be properly controlled with traffic exiting the area given priority and a channel by which to leave the area irrespective of the light colour.
Those lights will deliberately be set to mostly benefit traffic moving along Leckwith Rd so for ages traffic is jammed in the car park when nothing (or very little) is going along Leckwith Rd
The annoying thing is that I left on 90minutes specifically to avoid getting stuck. Wish I’d stayed to the end and had a cofffee in mucky d’s
I go and have a couple of pints in the casino - then drive straight out.
leckwith road and sloper road should be closed to non football traffic starting 10 mins before the end of the game. Divert all traffic via virgil st, bottom end of sloper rd and penarth road to get to link road.
but at nearly 10pm there isn't much traffic on the roads. the cars waiting to leave asda / retail park sit at a red light watching little or no traffic go along leckwith rd. A properly organised exit plan would see dozens / hundreds of cars leave the area and move onto leckwith rd / link rd in a seemless fashion with little disruption to local traffic still using leckwith rd.
Lights would still be used, but weight them for the traffic leaving the stadium, not the sparce numbers of vehicles passing the area.
Traffic light management around Cardiff is crap all around the City. I don't know which agency is responsible for it, council or road agency, but there's many lights around and about where you wait for ages at red lights when there's next to no traffic coming the other way.
It needs a big overhaul in my opinion.
Ive parked in Asda only a couple of times but never again - it's ridiculous.
For years I've parked near Victoria Park - healthy 25 minute walk, always guaranteed a space, no congestion. Home by 10.30.
I know some have mobility issues but don't understand the need to park as close as possible to the ground.
Lets face it. Park in Asda where you shouldnt really be parked in the first place then you cant really complain if your ages getting out.
The light system is bound to be in favour of those parked in the streets to get the traffic away. Not late night shoppers.
Cardiff Central is a brisk 20 minute walk away. I stayed to the end and was home by 10:30, let the train take the strain.
The police also have an obligation for the safety of the crowd leaving on foot. By allowing a free for all with no control over traffic with 20000 plus people mingling about is an accident waiting to happen.
I'd take half hour as a great result. The way the club used to to hold the people in the official parking was ridiculous!. Waiting for the away buses to leave....
One time I got home at gone 12, well over an hour without moving, after a 745 kick off parking by that school by the rugby club as well. It was a wales game though
Shoot me down in flames here, BUT isn't the ASDA car park for SHOPPERS
