Just looked at the home fixtures for the next TWO MONTHS and we only have THREE home games and ONE of them is on a Tuesday.
Now I know that there are TWO International breaks, but when are the Football League going to dispense with this stupid TWO home, TWO away lark.
It does not give fans the chance to have something to look forward to and unless you are a diehard bluebird, by the time another game comes around, you have lost the will to make the effort.
Frigging ridiculous !!!
I expect the 2 home 2 away rule is usually to try and avoid siutations like this with not many Saturday home games. Hopefully it is just a bit of bad luck with the way the internationals have fallen.
The bigger issue imo is games, like the Reading one, being moved to stupid days for sky tv.

The sequence of home and away games for the season is as follows:
AHHAHAAHAHHAAHHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAH
We've just had 2 home games and we're in a 6 game spell where there's 2 aways to follow and then 2 home games. There isn't another spell where we have 2 home and 2 away games (or the other way around) this season (barring FA cup ties).
Not sure why you think the Football League have employed a two home, two away lark as it happens so infrequently. Having alternate home and away fixtures throughout the season is impossible, so there will always be 2 homes or 2 aways in succession at various points, but having 2 home and 2 away games as a block is relatively rare.
It does seem to be that clubs have a concentration of home games in short bursts, and there always seemed to be a few long gaps between going to games as a home fan even back 10 years ago.
It's funny, though, because people complained that having two home games in a week affected the crowd, now three home games in 2 months is also affecting the crowd!
Then there aren't enough Saturday 3pm games, but when there are people complain about not getting on Sky enough.
only 2 aways with a 3pm kick off on a Saturday left this year.
Football is not played to suit the supporters anymore.
Soon they will be having to pay us to attend.
The reason the original post didnt make sense to me is precisely because of the reason picked up by other people here i.e. 3 home games in 14 days led many people to complain that this was too many in a short space of time, which adversely affected the gates. Only having 3 in the next 60 days should therefore have the opposite effect with people given the chance to save up and attend all of them. Anyone with an ounce of common sense could have worked that out. Should have known that this would be beyond the likes of Lecter, Thoth & Hartley.
