The Times. Balanced newspaper and critical of all.
Good letters page and they have three columnists a day from both the left and the right. Also I like the fact they have a world news section that towards the end tells you about stories from obscure countries that would never make the light of day in most media outlets in the West.
Agree with that, very premier league and England focused but then I guess that is the readership they are catering for. However their general sports coverage is excellent, most papers are obsessed with football. The Times covers Rugby and Cricket more than any other paper.
The Times is for the brainwashed who love propaganda.
Guardian on Saturday and Observer on Sunday, with the odd 'i' or Metro in midweek. I also browse the Sheffield Star, Mirror, Times and the back pages of the Mail in coffee shops. Years back I used to buy and read a paper every day - now it is mainly weekends and I get most of my news stories and articles online.
Our local shop (that used to be a Spar but isn't any more) has been offering a free Sun with any purchase for over a year. They find it very hard to give them away. That makes me happy!
