That is not part perfect. Past pefect is a completed action in the past, "I made an error" past imperfect is a continuing action in the past such as "I was making an error and then realise my mistake""I had made an error", past perfect to show that this finished action took place before the other finished action (I was just corrected).
I had made an error is technically past pluperfect. That is something which happened in the pasr which is used to referecne another more recent thing in the past, 'so was corrected' is past perfect but 'had made an error' is past pluperfect.
