Amazon delivery

Okay so I was procrastinating by staring out of my window. I saw an Amazon Logistics van try to delivery a parcel to a house opposite me but they weren't in. So the guy gave it to the house next door but the two households hate each other...

Took delivery of a parcel today for some neighbours.
Trouble is I can't stand them and don't really want to knock their door to give it to them. Haven't really spoken to them since I complained about their loud music and weird parties where people would turn up wearing hats made of tin foil. Whole place stinks of coconuts aswell.
This board has always been a great place to come for advice so what should I do? Take it around? Wait for them to pop over (they wont)? or wear the gimp suits myself?

Even if Amazon had left a card saying it was handed to a neighbour , which is the usual procedure , and what if the item did not, require a signature, not all goods do .

The item belongs to me. I don't care about 'usual procedure'. Signatures shouldn't make any difference.

The parcel is MY item. I paid for it.

I can sense your annoyed.

I'm only saying as this could be their get out card. Although I'd imagine a company like Amazon would likely just send you a replacement if you were to raise a query.

I ship stuff all the time, can track the item and if it is signed for but the customer hasn't signed for it then we would in good will ship again and put special instruction on the parcel that it is only to be delivered to the customer. If it happened all the time then I'd imagine my boss using the "leave with a neighbour" line..Can't say for sure as I don't know what the law is or if there is one.
