Undoubtedly the journey is a good one and one which most fans want to take.
The destination will most likely be disappointing and experience says that it will be much less enjoyable.
The way to cope with that is to be less expectant, more philosophical, more patient and to look at the alternative benefits.
And to hope for, rather than expect, a few pleasant surprises along the way.

Not making the journey would be much much worse.

That doesn't always happen. The likelihood for a club of Swansea's size is further relegation rather than getting back to the big time. We're seeing less and less that teams coming down are going back up.

Probably. Journey had a number of successful albums and singles. Destination were a largely unsuccessful disco outfit that failed to score any chart hits.

The next stage would be to become an established Premiership team like Leicester, remember how we used to always beat them! If we fail we have parachute payments to have another go but have no fear like little Burnley and Bournemouth, the lower teams in the Premiership are no better than the top teams in the Championship?

I think there's a difference. Teams going up need to strengthen. Teams that come down lose some of their best players.
