Yep only 61 and appearing on television so recently. Very sad.
RIP Ray
Only saw him on something recently, always came across very well.
RIP Ray
RIP Ray can't believe I was listening to him on talk sport last week before his heart attack just shocked condolences to his family and friends
I was hoping for a different outcome
One of the good guys.
RIP.
RIP Ray
Always come across very well on the TV. A likeable cheeky chappy.
RIP
Great Footballer and Great Attitude.
Some of the premiership "stars" could learn a lot from the way this man conducted himself.
RIP Butch
Always remember enjoying watching you play on MOTD in my younger days.
Enjoyed your comments and chat on TalkSport. You came across as intelligent, very articulate with a great love, a fantastic enthusiasm and an unbeatable knowledge of the game.
61 is far too young in this day and age
Another one goes. RIP
RIP Butch. A gentleman and top footballer.
Sad. I remember him coming through at Chelsea. I think he became captain when he was still a teenager.
One of my favourite players when I was a kid, even though only ever seemed to pass the ball sideways. Always came across as such a gentleman aswell.
I've always thought Michael Carrick was a fine player who was seriously underused by England, but, having seen the two of them play at their peak, I'd say Ray Wilkins was twice the player Carrick is/was. However, the best thing about Wilkins for me was that he could poke fun at himself.
RIP to a great footballer and a decent human being.
Anyone hear that feller who was homeless that Ray helped this morning on talk sport
Reading it probably doesn't do it justice the guy was seriously choked up about it
