And so it goes on.

In brief – what does the Data Protection Act say about keeping personal data?
“The Act does not set out any specific minimum or maximum periods for retaining personal data. Instead, it says that:
Personal data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose or those purposes.
This is the fifth data protection principle. In practice, it means that you will need to:
review the length of time you keep personal data;
consider the purpose or purposes you hold the information for in deciding whether (and for how long) to retain it;
securely delete information that is no longer needed for this purpose or these purposes; and
update, archive or securely delete information if it goes out of date”.
So when considering the purpose of keeping the landing documents it’s safe to say that they should have been kept because of their importance. Staff at that time brought up their concerns but their concerns were dismissed.
David Cameron used to send Sir Nick Clegg to tell Theresa May to "stop being so extreme on immigration" during the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government, a senior peer has claimed.
This can’t be true surely to God

"Let us start with a sense of humanity. Every case is a human story, its triumphs and tragedies."
2013: On the same day as Theresa May's heartless statement on immigrants, one Labour MP provided a compassionate, inspiring alternative.
Take a bow, Jeremy Corbyn.

Amber Rudd privately boasted to the prime minister that she would give immigration officials greater “teeth” to hunt down and deport thousands more illegal migrants and accelerate the UK’s deportation programme.
As the city song goes “Time to go, time to go” etc
Another heartbreaking story. How many more

Despicable from May. Go now!

Yet another story, racists to the core.

I MAY do at some point, wink wink.
Good grief you are so touchy about your beloved government.
Have you read the horror stories and the suffering of our people and friends (if not read above links). Are you aware of any examples in modern times of a government treating such a large group of its citizens so atrociously? Are you aware of the removal of wording to legislation in 2014 brought in by and acted upon by May and Rudd? As well as bragging about introducing a HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT, Mays words. Vans with go home on! They knew the effect changes would have on the Windrush generation and they didn’t give two hoots. If they had then they would have helped those who have suffered for years.
Did these actions and changes target people based on race? If so then this is racism.
Mays reaction, Just tell em we are sorry and give em some money, that should do it.
And the latest story to confirm they knew exactly what was going on, and in the Daily Heil as well.

Interesting comment from Liam Byrne in 2007, then Labour Government minister regarding migration in the UK -

I’m sure most on here agree with the Ministers comments?
Dear, dear me. Imagine getting that letter. How terrifying.

Surprised Teresa May hasn't "asked" Amber Rudd to fall on her sword.
I couldn't imagine Thatcher allowing her party to be tainted like this and for so long. Perhaps it's a convenient distraction from the more pressing matters she should be dealing with?
It comes to something when someone like Dianne Abbott holds all the cards against you, referring to Lord Carrington doing just this as 'a matter of honour'.
She is right though, someone's head should roll. No shame some people.
Rudd lied again yesterday, what a surprise. Rudd and May should resign immediately.
