All this recycling and care for the planet

Surely everyone knows it's all too late ?

We are pissing in the wind , melting ice caps , plastic clogging up the seas , increasing global population growth , destruction of rain forests for palm oil

Fifty elephants a day shot for ivory

Should have left the rag-and-bone men carry on. !

Not a lot got wasted in the 40's and 50's, it's these throw-away frigging youngsters are the problem.

We have a rag-and-bone man that comes around here, he yells something through a Tanoy and drives past at about 50mph in his van, I'm not sure how you're meant to catch him?

Jump in the FOCUS, Steve said "he's always jumping in the Focus" !

Well it sounded like jumping, without the hearing aid in.

Does he want tickets for Saturday ?

True that, when we were kids we had one metal dustbin, mostly referred to as the ash bin, and the dustbin men were the ashbin men. No food wasted, left overs was tomorrow’s tea. No need for recycling paper, that all went on the fire. The stuff that went in the bin was the ashes from the fire. Imagine that now, one ash bin per household, there’s foodstuff now that has natural packaging that is still packed in plastic. Suppose coal fires weren’t environmentally friendly but I’d love to turn the clock back for an hour and have a walk around Cardiff taking in that old smell of the working chimneys.

I don't think so, I swore I wouldn't go with him again after the last game anyway.

Believe it or not, he's probably yelling "rag & bone".

I can still hear the bloke that came around on a horse and cart when I was a kid. "Reeeeegnboa!"

The planet will fix itself. It always does. It may have to kill off mankind to do it. And it can.

There were Rag n bone men in the valley's village I grew up in until the early 70s. Though by then they were mostly taking away bits of old scrap on their carts rather than their title. I can still remember their calls as they went through the streets though.
