Most people who I hear talking about the wedding are talking about how they're not bothered about the wedding.

I can remember going to Pugh's Garden Store by the Tynant five years ago when there was a Royal Wedding (presumably it was the bloke who's getting married tomorrow's brother?). I seem to remember it was around this time of year and that store is always pretty crowded in the spring - there was just me and one other customer there and the roads were deserted.
All I can think is that this board is wholly unrepresentative of the public at large, because you can't seem to avoid people talking about the wedding at the moment.
Incidentally, I wasn't being flippant earlier, I genuinely don't know the names of the couple getting married - I know the names of both of Diana's sons, but I never know which one is which.
Needless to say, I'll not be watching much telly and listening to much radio over this weekend!

As I cannot get excited about either the F A Cup final or even the World Cup then some wedding, that I am not invited too and between two people I have no interest in is way down the list. I hope that they have a lovely day and a wonderful marriage but maybe they may wish to contribute to the costs incurred as the rest of us struggling somewhat with austerity. Interestingly, our much stretched thin blue line can find the resources to police this but in the London Borough I was brought up in young kids are getting killed and the crime rate is through the roof , in part, due to a lack of police resources.
Excellent observation
It’s all about priorities. The police may argue it’s all about public safety
Your point about lack of resources in local policing is clearly less of a priority
If the Home Office decided to increase the Mets budget by 3.5 or 6.5 million depending on who’s figures you consider then it would be fair of all the other forces to claim a share And who’s to say that if additional money was given to the Met that it would be spent on the things we may think are important for example boots on the ground and not some new expensive toys
We are all itching for tomorrow to finally dawn as this week's been interminable what with the fevered anticipation of the Royal wedding building by the day.
All of us will be parked on a settee with eyes fixed on a TV to enjoy the hours of uninterrupted coverage. I've invested in an incontinence pad to ensure not a second of the action is missed due to a call of nature.
It's been confirmed by Buckingham Palace that His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, whose other titles are: Duke of Rothesay, Earl of Carrick, Duke of Cornwall, Baron of Renfrew, Earl of Chester, Lord of the Isles and High Steward of Scotland, but is universally known as jug ears will, in the absence of Meghan Markle's father, who's an inveterate piss artist, give the bride away at tomorrow's wedding ceremony.
There had been speculation that Ms Markle's mother Doria Ragland - who's of African heritage and is as black as Newgate's knocker - would accompany her daughter but the Queen sanctioned that notion citing fears she may suffer stage fright. "One doesn't wish to risk her performing some gangsta rap shit while walking down the aisle, does one?" she is said to have concluded.
Well I for one will be rejoicing, thank god we have a head of state the alternative is frightening , President Trump , President Putin , President Assad , to name a few beuts, give me old Liz any day over those half baked loons and other power crazed republicans
The alternative isn't necessary frightening. Who knows who the German Head of State is, for example? Most people couldn't even come up with one single German Head of State in the post-war era. As for Trump and Putin, they were supposedly elected and theoretically can get rid of. The royal family aren't elected and any idiot born in the right bed can rise to be Head of State.
As a couple I actually like the two getting married.
As for royalty, **** them all
Given that you've seen fit to introduce this stuff into a football forum, I think I'm entitled to reply.

Enjoy the English and Scottish Cup Finals everyone.
Right, the people who voted for the German Head of State know who he is and that's called democracy.
Bunting count on my drive from Treherbert to Tonypandy this morning = three (two of them, sadly, in Tynewydd, my home village), there were also three or four Welsh Dragon flags on show (the guy who's getting married today isn't the Prince of Wales is he or are they some sort of anti Royalist statement?).
I can just about comprehend how someone might vote Tory, choose Trump over Clinton or even support the wurzels, but what on earth persuades grown adults to decorate their houses or spend up to a week camping in Windsor to celebrate the marriage of two of our "betters"?
I bet James Corden is sweating today in that suit
