Call up for unknown Anderlecht defender James Lawrence (26)
Why are we playing Albania? Hopefully every first teamer gets a rest for that one and we can see the "future".
Anyone else embarrassed that there's not one City player in the squad?
Yes, but it has pretty much been like this for about 6-7 seasons. Last real regular was Bellamy and before that Darcy Blake.
Not great really.
Swansea regulars include Taylor, Davies, Williams, Allen... Roberts now will no doubt overtake Gunter, Rodon, James to come.
Poor showing on the international front for Cardiff.
I'm glad to see our 2nd best player is going to be back for this one
I see what you mean

It should be embarrassing for the club. We're in our 16th season since promotion from the 3rd tier, have been a top half Championship side in all bar one of our last 12 seasons at that level, having won 2 promotions and finished in the playoffs 3 times, not to mention reaching the final of both major cup competitions in that time.
Over the last decade we must be one of the top 30 sides in the English football pyramid, yet our youth setup produces nothing. Agreed. Shameful. Plus it's a relatively cheap way of finding players providing they are nurtured.
You can't make chicken soup, outta chicken shit.
Chill.
Ampadu on the bench for Chelsea tonight, so at least he's fit again.
Who are the standout players?

TOBW will be a better one to ask but going on the couple of times I've seen them I've been very impressed with the two strikers, Davies & Griffiths. They link up well and are scoring a lot of goals this season. Ratcliffe has been excellent in goal and Reynolds looks like a good player & a strong character too. Bowen didn't stand out but maybe I've just caught him slightly off his best. Early days yet for them all, of course, but there's plenty of promise there.
