Wow, not good news at just 65 years of age. My all time favourite City player - get well soon Joe.
get well soon Joe, my all time favourite City player also
Get well soon Joe. So many fantastic memories of him playing for us, but my favourite was at Fratton Park the year after the clock incident, when he ran straight over to us City fans before kick off in the Milton End screaming "What's the time?"
Here's to a speedy recovery Joe
Absolute City legend. Speedy recovery.
Club legend. Get well soon Joe.
My all time favourite player. Get well soon Joe.
Get well soon Joe.
Get well soon Joe. All the best for a speedy recovery.
Best wishes Joe. If anyone can fight back then he can.
Will find out how he is tomorrow
Legend is overused, but Joe is the epitome. A fast and full recovery Joe!
We were in the same class throughout our years at St Patrick’s infants school. We used to use a tennis ball to play football at playtime. It was obvious then that he knew how to play football. Like many I followed his career from beginning to end. Not the greatest player but one of our greatest. Hopefully he will make a recovery.
This should be a sticky!
Phil is a lot better, not so confused and can now recognise those around him.
Still in hospital though and no sign of going home yet.
Sort of good news, hope he makes a full recovery
Phil is now home and doing well 👍👍
