That was a good article - and fair.
There's a few back-handed compliments in that article.
I heard one commentator say that he felt a number of our players were "growing into" the premier league and as every week goes by the players were looking comfortable in this league.I've certainly noticed we are not as naive as we used to be however the latest general media opinion is we'll start struggling soon because were running out of winnable home games.
I agree, you can take it as being insulting if you're that way inclined, but I prefer to see it as an acknowledgment that there is more to us than you might first think.
Regarding Murphy, he's been the cause of two opposing players being substituted at half time, but, for me, the significant thing there is "half time" - if he could start maintaining his first half form into the second half of games then revelation would be an apt description.
Pretty decent article I think , and backed up with facts/stats. Not as anti Cardiff as the TV pundits, who clearly have no idea about us and just make up stuff.
I have though and seen that myself in the games ,I suspect if we could replay those two games against Huddersfield and Newcastle we would have more points by now ,lets be fair we ran the Gunners close and Spurs and Everton ,should have beaten Burnley ,some pits at Watford /Palace will top my Xmas off nicely .
What I am amused by is the possession stat.
It is wrong.
Our actual possession is 37%. Quite a bit lower. 😂
I can't read it because I won't turn off my adblocker. It picks up 48 adverts on the site so no way am I turnig it off!
There’s a grey link on the pop up that says something like ‘Nah news should be free’. Click that and it lets you in anyway. Great article and totally fair.
Fair play - that was a well balanced article.
A big worry for most which he eluded too was how many home games we have left against the sides in and around us. Unless we drastically improve away from home, it could be a painful second half of the season.
Surprised to read that Etheridge isn't a good shot stopper though
