Not sure what this has done for his credibility inside the club, let alone outside.
There us no way Warnock will be here next season, whatever division we are in.
So the club has released a statement almost two days after Warnock made the comments and just as the story was disappearing from the headlines.
Slow clap.
It’s a generic statement that they had to make just due to the journos trying to make a story to fill papers.
Nothing to see really
I hope they don't ask him about 1MDB at the next press conference.
So because he expressed a personal reasonable view, that we should just get on with brexit considering the majority of the population voted for it, it is considered controversial?
I wonder if there would have been an outcry if he said something along the lines of 'it would be better if we just stayed in', like we see from public figures everyday
the hypocrisy from the left is ****ing laughable.
I think the immature and unhelpful choice to use the phrase "to hell with the rest of the world" warrants a statement in itself, regardless of what your opinion is regarding the EU. In case you forgot, we're owned by a Malaysian man, run by a Cypriot, and all our targets appear to be on the continent and of varying nationalities. Use your brain.
The irony here, is your reply to Cris Lee is even more ignorant, nasty and inflammatory than Warnocks. Difference is, you can hide behind your keyboard as a faceless MB member. Warnock used the wrong words in front of the watching, baiting sports media. We all know Warnock is a dying breed when it comes to football management, as his his general attitude.
God knows how Brian Clough would have survived in this modern era.
I don't think anyone is genuinely offended by Warnock's comments. However, given the way in which he earns his living and who pays his wages, they do make him look a bit of a prick.
He's apparently currently trying to sign a South American who plays in France and an African who plays in Belgium.
"To hell with the rest of the world....."
Nothing wrong them, or him expressing them, but then surely Warnock should be given the same privilege?
Unless that is you believe Warnocks comments are inappropriate or unprofessional (which I do, leave politics out of football imo) then Lineker should be held to the same standard, but instead is given a free pass to spout his strong believes? The only difference to me seems that Lineker is given a 'free pass' because his views are on the right side of the fence.
People are boycotting Walkers because of Lineker, there are stories in the Mail and Express about him all the time. You've got your back up because you agree with Warnock, and not Lineker. All the media is right wing, bar the Guardian; and Warnock is still getting a hard time. That's because what he said was stupid.

He obviously chose the wrong phrase at the wrong time, and what ever the consequences are, he’ll have to face up to them. He’s not alone though in this part of the UK for making daft comments though is he? We have, and always have had, hundreds of fans who sing inflammatory and degrading chants aimed at the English, when we have had Engilish managers and players, and rely on the English league set up for our bread and butter. Maybe it’s rubbed of on Warnock 😂
