    Re: Sala things moving

Southampton signed s similar player for £20 million last year and he’s now out on loan in Spain
Let’s hope Sala does the business we need

I will say it now. If this Sala turns out to be shite I will not complain. At least Tan has put his money where his mouth is.

And with his record, its a relatively sensible punt, compared to say Solanke for 1m more. Spot on there

If we stay up he's paid for himself.

If not we flog him and get the bulk of it back.

I hope he's not on wages that will see that side spiral. I suspect he's in line with the other top earners.

Seen anywhere from 55k GBP to 75k EUR, Arter earns 40k and I don't know how much of that we pay. He's currently on ~7-10k.

I woudn't have been disappointed with Solanke.

the potential upside to that deal if he kicks on is massive

Agreed but I haven't seen anything from him to suggest he will kick on, time will tell

    I mean Solanke - 8 goals in 46
    Sala 93 in 235

One's a hell of a bigger gamble than the other

Solanke is English so will probably hold his value and only 21

But is someone hold will be better in the future and hold their value what we need? Hypothetically, if Sala scores one more goal than him this season, he'll be worth more to us, we need someone to help keep us up right now, which hopefully he'll do if he comes

He's reported to be on around 10k pw in France so I can't see us offering more than say 40k.

Damned if we do, damned if we don’t. In my opinion we have to go for it, we may never get this opportunity again to avoid first season relegation. Who else would we buy? There aren’t many out there who'd guarantee survival and the ones that are are way out of our price range. Over halfway through and we’ve given ourselves a fighting chance, Huddersfield have already chucked the towel in, many predicted it would be us.

Guy has scored more than neymar and cavani this season.

He's a striker which we need.

The cost is a fraction of what we will earn.

It's more of a gamble to not sign a player who the manager thinks can do a good job for us.

Looking it other prices, it’s just par for the course really. Bournemouth looking at welsh player at Brentford for 12 million and I’ve never heard of him.....not saying much mind....

WOL reporting this morning that Nantes have aannounced that the deal is off.
Cardiff offer falls well short of their valuation ?
I hope his is BS as to reach this point after many weeks, only to understand that the agreement between the clubs was never in place, is absolutely amateurish

I suggest that this is just part of the negotiation process and is more about the structuring and distribution of the payments, rather the the total value.
